OU Credit Union O'Rena
Security measures are in place to ensure the safety of all guests. Guests arriving to the OU Credit Union O'rena are encouraged to arrive early and travel light. Anyone attempting to enter the OU Credit Union O'rena with a bag of any size will be subject to search. Bags that have passed inspection should be able to fit comfortably under your seat. Oversized bags that interfere with the comfort of those around you are prohibited and final determination of this will be made by event staff. The OU Credit Union O'rena does not provide an area to check bags, coats, or any other personal belongings. Guests are encouraged to leave large or bulky items at home in order to expedite their entry into the facility.
Guests are reminded that signs, conduct, or attire that is deemed offensive or inappropriate by an event staff will not be allowed.
To ensure a safe and comfortable environment at the O'Rena, the following items are prohibited from being brought into the arena for intercollegiate athletic contests:
- Oversized bags (anything that cannot fit comfortably under your seat)
- Containers of any kind (including coolers, thermoses, cups, bottles, cans, flasks)
- Aerosol and spray cans
- Animals (except service animals for disability support)
- Flags with flagpoles
- Food of any kind
- Alcoholic beverages
- Apparel or signage displaying profane or abusive language
- Cameras with a lens longer than 6 inches
- Noisemakers (including but not limited to whistles, air horns, boom boxes, bullhorns, kazoos, sirens, thunder sticks, vuvuzelas, etc.)
- Strollers
- Video cameras, tripods, and selfie sticks
- Weapons
Event staff reserves the right to prohibit the carrying of any other item into the arena. Decisions on which items to prohibit will be made contingent upon security briefings by OU Police. Exceptions for medical or personal care reasons (e.g., diapers for a baby, medical prescriptions, etc.) will be addressed individually at the entrance. Event staff reserves the right to search or inspect such items and persons carrying them are encouraged to carry them into the arena in a clear plastic bag.
Based on the nature of a specific event or emergency, directions to guests and staff will be communicated via public address announcements. Guests are requested to listen to announcements and remain seated until instructed otherwise.
Fire: If you discover a fire or smell smoke, please notify event staff or a police officer immediately. f you cannot locate one right away, call 911.
Building Emergency: In the event of a serious incident during the game, event staff and law enforcement personnel may direct that actions be taken to protect all of our guests. Please remain calm and listen to all instructions carefully. If you are asked to evacuate the building, please do not run or panic and follow the instructions of event team members.
